The Wooden Floor Store was established by childhood friends Ross Nicholl and Richard Snape, since growing from a small investment into a multimillion-pound business. With a focus on doing things properly, they are now offering franchisees a proven business model to emulate their success.
The duo currently oversee six Wooden Floor Stores in the UK, each offering customers an extensive range of top quality wooden floor coverings at some of the best rates in the marketplace. The natural next step was to grow a nationwide brand, and franchising was the perfect solution. Working closely with one of the UK’s most reputable franchise consultants, a model was put in place to enable franchisees to replicate Richard and Ross’s journey.
The first franchisee opened in London in 2018 and has experienced phenomenal success, tracking over 100% ahead of its financial forecasts. As they will with subsequent franchisees, the co-founders have worked very closely to ensure maximum guidance and support. Having never required finance for their expansion, in Richard and Ross you can be sure that you’re dealing with people with strong commercial acumen and an absolute insistence on doing things the right way. They have experience in supplying everyone from developers and other stores through to restaurants and domestic households: it’s fair to say they know the market inside and out. The Wooden Floor Store was also hand-picked by director Sam Mendes to supply over 2,000 sqm of flooring to Pinewood Studios for the movie set for Spectre – yes, we’re even good enough for James Bond himself!
